This munitions bunker is part of the German Vineta battery and is currently home to the Nederlands Militair kustverdedigingsmuseum (Dutch Military Coastal Defence Museum).
Bremen is the nickname the Germans used for the type Fl246 bunker. This munitions bunker functioned as a storage place for ammunition used by the Vinetaduin artillery. The bunker was also used later during the Cold War by the Dutch Navy for communications purposes.
Visitors can also see the film De Verborgen Grens (The Hidden Border), an introduction to the history of the Atlantic Wall.
Access: The bunker is accessible via the entrance to the Vinetaduin and can be easily reached by bicycle or public transport (station ‘Strand’). The nearest available car park is on the Strandweg.
