This hospital bunker is currently used by the fire department and is specially open during Bunker Day!

Command bunker 117a ‘Wing bunker’ 

This command bunker of type 117a is nicknamed “wing bunker” or “whale bunker.” This name is derived from the large stabilizing piece built onto the bunker, which has the specific shape of a whale tail or airplane tail. 

Bunkercomplex Hoeverweg

This bunkercomplex was built during World War II by the German occupiers as a defensive point for the former Bergen airfield used by them. The complex is located south of the airfield, and currently, 13 structures remain.

Bunkermuseum Wn12H Vlieland

Of the fortifications built on Vlieland, Wn 12H is the only one that has been preserved; the others were demolished or ended up on the beach due to dune erosion. For a long time, the entire complex was hidden under the dune sand, but thanks to the efforts of many volunteers, the bunkers and trenches have been excavated and restored.

Wijk aan Zee: Tetraëder 

Fall 2021, a concrete tetrahedron beach obstacle has been rebuild on this position. Its original concrete poles, of 120kg each, as well as the even heavier obstacle head, where found during excavation on the beach.  

Bunker Hamburg

The bunker is still in its original condition, so you will enter a real time capsule.

Observation bunker type 143

The observation bunker had a 20-tonne armoured-steel observation dome integrated into the roof. The surrounding area could be viewed using a periscope in the dome.

Sperre Arendsduin bunkers

The Widerstandsnest 53 formed the northwestern entrance (Sperre) to the Festung Hoek van Holland. The three bunkers that you can visit are: Manschappenbunker 501 & Gun bunker 676 & Kitchen bunker.

De Punt: ST 504 Air-raid bunker

This air-raid shelter is a bomb-proof bunker and had two functions: a cannon could be placed and the defenses housed operating personnel.
