Walk to Tank Wall Panbos

In the dunes between Wassenaar and Katwijk we find the beautiful Panbos. On Bunker Day, we recommend a short walk to a section of tank wall in the middle of the woods. You can view this defence structure up close and see the state of this walls. Next to the tank wall is a series of impressive ‘draketanden’ (‘dragon’s teeth’): large pyramid-shaped stone blocks. A tank would have crushed its own ‘teeth’ on those.

Starting point: the parking area at the Pan van Persijn, Wassenaarseweg 152 in Katwijk. Take the first path to the left immediately after the entrance and follow the orange route. You will reach the tank wall after a 15-minute walk.

Please note!: You can visit the Panbos on your own, there are no organized activities or tours.
