Visit Bunkermuseum Vlissingen: Observatiebunker type 143

This Type 143 observation bunker can be found at the Oranjemolen in Vlissingen. It was built in 1943 as an observation post for an artillery battery. On November 1, 1944, Allied commandos landed at the adjacent mud harbor to continue their operation from there and liberate Vlissingen.

During the dike reinforcement in 2001, the bunker was made accessible and opened to the public. The bunker has been fully restored, including the original periscope.

Open on every last Saturday of the month between 13:00 and 17:00.
