This is the biggest bunker in the Netherlands. The Schnellbootbunker had a total of 14 docks and, moreover, 4 workshops docks where vessels that were damaged during missions at sea – such as getting out mines and targeting alied ships with torpedoes closer to the English coast etc. – could be repaired. The living quarters of the personnel and supllies storage were situated in the rafters, the floor of which created an extra celling above the docks below. During the war the bunker was often attacted. Traces of allied forces bombings are still visible.
