Telephone Switching Station 616 – Leiden
This bunker is the only one remaining from the Second World War in Leiden and is therefore a municipal monument. Many people don’t even know there’s a bunker here because it’s well camouflaged by overgrown plants and a brick casing that makes it look like a house. The reservation system for this will open in May, exact date and time will follow.
Willemsoord – Den Helder
During Bunker Day, the Den Helder Heritage Foundation organizes a guided tour of the bunkers at Willemsoord. During the tour, you’ll walk past all the remaining bunkers and learn about the Naval Yard, the bunkers, and the people who worked at Willemsoord. The specific times and registration link for the tour will be provided on this page later.
Bunker Walk ‘t Gilde – The Hague
The walk goes along the remains of what was the command center of the Scheveningen fortress during World War II. A ticket costs €8,50 (this does not include a Bunker Day ticket). The reservation link will be posted online on May 8th at 12PM.
Walk at Waalsdorpervlakte – The Hague
During Bunkerdag, the Waalsdorp Honor Guard – who organize the commemoration every year – offers you the opportunity to learn more about the details of the monument and the commemoration. There are four special places that are part of the monument, some of which are only accessible with the guidance of members of the Honor Guard. A ticket costs €8.50.
Natuurmonuments Walk – Burgh Haamstede
A few times a year, you can walk through the normally closed Slotbos and bunkers with our guides. Also during National Bunker Day, visiting the bunkers is possible. Seize this unique opportunity! During this walk, you will learn a lot about the bunkers and their former purpose. Please note: making a reservation for this walk is mandatory. A regular ticket costs €10. The reservation link will be posted online on May 6th at 12PM and pay via the link.
