Exhibition Biber Stelling

The exhibition is about ethnic groups from the Soviet Union who were forced to serve in the German army. Armenians, Georgians and Volga Tatars respectively. The exhibition consists of original objects related to this subject, uniforms, photos and posters.

Film: Airborne Landings May 1940

The mini documentary tells the story of an old resident of Willemsdorp, who as a little boy experienced the airborne landings in May 1940.

Wijk aan Zee: Mine chair

During excavation in 2022 for laying electricity cables from the wind turbine off shore Wijk aan Zee to the coast a few naval mine anchors where brought ashore.

Excursion to the ‘Batterie’

Under the guidance of a guide, you can participate in an excursion to the Batterie position on Schiermonnikoog for the day. This position was the major artillery position on the island during World War II.

Activities Schiermonnikoog

Various activities are organised at Schiermonnikoog. Namely: a filmscreening, a walk along the bunkers and an exposition.

Command bunker 117a ‘Wing bunker’ 

This command bunker of type 117a is nicknamed “wing bunker” or “whale bunker.” This name is derived from the large stabilizing piece built onto the bunker, which has the specific shape of a whale tail or airplane tail. 

Bunkervlogs

In the former kitchen bunker, 4 educational bunker vlogs are being presented. These cover: gun bunkers, living in a bunker, the tunnel system, bunkers and nature.

Activities at Bunker Complex De Punt

Various activities are organized at Bunker Complex De Punt. Namely: demonstrations with model tanks, an exhibition, re-enactment, guided tours, and demonstrations by ham radio operators.

Bunkercomplex Hoeverweg

This bunkercomplex was built during World War II by the German occupiers as a defensive point for the former Bergen airfield used by them. The complex is located south of the airfield, and currently, 13 structures remain.

Exhibition Atlantic Wall maps

This exhibition features reproductions of unique topographical and thematic map material that was used by the German armed forces during the Second World War for the planning and construction of the Atlantic Wall.

Re-enactment Kazemattenmuseum

Various re-enactment groups are present at the Kazemattenmuseum, such as the DKA (Dutch Coastal Artillery). There are military vehicles on display, there is a shop and there are sea cadets.
