The Biberbunker Foundation proudly presents a Luftwaffe anti-aircraft gun.
This is an original ‘Flugabwehrkanone FLAK 37mm kaliber’. This anti-aircraft gun was found under the sand in the Rockanje dunes, probably left behind in May of 1945 due to its massive weight – a whopping 6 tonnes. The artillery is installed on its own specifically engineered FLAK bedding, and is located approximately 25 metres away from the Biberbunker. The crew for the FLAK consisted of 5 to 7 men.
One could fire 120 shots per minute with this gun. The horizontal range was 6600 metres and vertically 4500 metres.
