Hidden on the Paasdal midget golf course is a small communications bunker. It was only recently discovered, as it was not registered on any of the German maps. The bunker served as a telephone exchange for several other bunkers and cables run throughout the dunes to and from this location. There is still an original fuse box in the bunker and a ‘Kabelendverschluß’ (cable end-point). The current owner has also set up a small exhibition of WWII material.
Please note!: access to this bunker is challenging, via a steep incline, and requires crampons.
