Bunker type 118a

The bunker type 118a Sanitätsunterstand was a bombproof hospital bunker where a total of 30 wounded could be cared for. The bunker was divided into two parts, the left part being intended for the ‘normal’ wounded and the right part being specially designed for wounded who had been contaminated during a gas attack. Nowadays the bunker is used by the fire brigade and during Bunker Day the members of the youth fire brigade give a tour of the bunker.
