This gun emplacement was built between the two world wars and consisted of three gun shelters with ammunition storage areas and a personnel shelter. The battery’s task was to fire at enemy ships that wanted to attack Den Helder along the coast. They used so-called ‘indirect firing guns’. The gun crew received orders from a different location.
