Atlantikwall-tour ‘t Gilde

During Bunker Day, ‘t Gilde organizes a number of Atlantic Wall tours.
During the Second World War, the Germans constructed extensive defense lines along the coasts of Europe; the so-called ‘Atlantic Wall’ was created. Countless bunkers containing command centers, technical installations, weapons, ammunition, troops, and the like were intended to protect the Nazis from Allied attempts to liberate the occupied territories from the sea. After the war, a large number of these bunkers remained standing. Dozens can still be found in and around The Hague. They keep history alive.

Gilde Den Haag has mapped out a walking tour past a number of these bunkers and other interesting locations related to the Second World War. The guide will take you through the area northwest of Madurodam and can tell you fascinating stories about what there is to see along the way.
