BAGPIPER
There are special performances today by a solo piper, to commemorate the end of the Second World War, 80 years ago. The distinctive sound of pipe music played a compelling role on the battlefields of both World War I and World War II. The piper, dressed in full-dress military uniform, will perform a number of times between 12:00 and 17:00 at Bunkerpark Sperre Arendsduin.
EXHIBITION
In the German kitchen building is a photo exhibition of the liberation of the Bunkercomplex Sperre Arendsduin. The exhibition is part of 80 years liberation municipality Westland.
RE-ENACTMENT DDR REGIMENT
Experience a spectacular and unique re-enactment performance by the DDR regiment department. Volunteers re-enact an almost unknown piece of history using authentic uniforms, weapons, vehicles, tents, utensils, field kitchen and dressing station. Visitors are taken into the atmosphere of the Cold War and the Warsaw Pact in the years between 1983 and 1990. Re-enactment is provided by www.VMOO.nl
